A huge mistake that people with oily hair like me make is to think that they should use only products that are drying for their hair. To balance itself the scalp starts producing more sebum and it can even clog the hair follicles and cause hair loss. Although I would love to use shampoos like LUSH BIG all the time I know that it is really important to put some oils in my oily hair too.
L'OREAL Professionnel Mythic Oil range is intended for all hair types and it includes a shampoo, a conditioner, a hair mask, a scalp clarifying concentrate, nourishing concentrates, three kinds of hair oils and a reinforcing milk. Some of the products are supposed to be used in a hair salon, others you may use at home. The Mythic oil range is designed to balance the natural oil levels in the hair and to provide you with hair cleansed at the roots and nourished at the ends.
You can choose between three oils - Mythic Oil Nourishing oil (for all hair types), Mythic Oil Colour Glow (for colour-treated hair), Mythic Oil Rich Oil (for unmanagable hair). The Mythic oil range includes a Mythic Oil Reinforcing milk which is supposed to help with detangling and I really want to try it.
I bought Mythic Oil Nourishing oil. The product contains a blend of avocado oil and grape seed oil, the formula is paraben-free. I use the oil mainly on the lengths and at the ends of my hair, I apply only a little bit of it near the roots of my hair because like I said I have very oily hair. The product is absorbed immediately and does not weight the hair down. It smells nice and the scent is not overwhelming. To be honest this products is very similar to another oil I used to use a long time ago - the hair serum for dry ends AVON Advanced Techniques. I haven't bought the AVON oil for years and I know that its formulation has been changed, but the products are a lot alike, they even smell the same.
I definitely recommend L'OREAL Professionnel Mythic Oil Nourishing oil especially if you have a problem with split ends.
