Today I decided to write about yet another lipstick, because you know I haven’t written about a lipstick in a while. Pure Color Envy lip potion is the new Estée Lauder lip product. The face of this lipstick is once again Kendall Jenner.
The formulation of Estée Lauder Liquid lip potion is infused with avocado, jojoba and sunflower oils. This lipstick does not dry out my lips and it really hydrates. I have the shade 200 Wicked sweet, it’s a bright pink with yellow undertones. The lipstick is intensely pigmented and you only need a swipe. I don’t have problems with feathering, the applicator is really precise and the product is easy to apply. According to Estée Lauder the finish is satin-matte. According to me it’s not matte at all, after you apply it it’s slightly glossy. It dries slowly to a satin finish.
The packaging is quite heavy (a little bit too heavy in my opinion) and feels luxiourious. You get 7 ml. of product which is a lot, the product is very pigmented.
The only minus of Estée Lauder lip potion is that it’s not particularly long wearing. The brand promises 8 hours of wear, on me it lasts around 4. After you’ve eaten you have to reapply it. The lipstick has a slight scent of candies which I personally like. A similar more budget friendly product is Rimmel Appocalips lip velvet, but it’s not a complete dupe.
I really like the shade Wicked sweet, it’s a great shade for spring and summer. There are other lovely colours in this range too. I enjoy this product, you may not like it if what you’re looking for is a long-lasting lipstick.
