It took me some time to form an opinion about this product. In all honesty, I expected to like it much more. I bought the palette with the clear vision that I won’t use the bronzer at all. The surprising thing is that I was impressed exactly by the bronzer and I would buy it in full size. I was not so fond of the three highlighters.
The Laura Mercier illuminators are very pretty and I’ve been wanting to try them for ages. The brand’s holiday 2016 collection was right up my alley. The palette Fall in Love, containing four of the illuminators in mini sizes, is the star of the collection. The first stock sold out in minutes. Fortunately for me they restocked and I managed to order it.
The packaging - You can see that the packaging is just gorgeous. The box has a leopard print on it and you have the four illuminators inside. The print on the product itself is still there after some use and this makes me quite happy. Each of the illuminators is 3,3 g..
The highlighters - Three of the shades in the palette are highlighters. I’m not a fan. The highlighters contain small glitter particles, they look good in daylight. At night though, they sparkle and you look like you’re covered in sparkly dust. I think that there are better highlighter in this price range. Devotion is the pale pink and has the worst formulation out of the three. The other two are better, but still not worth splurging on.
The bronzer - I’m not one of those people who can pull off the shimmery J. Lo. type of bronzers. I think that you should be blessed with dark and beautiful skin for them. This bronzer in the shade Seduction really impressed me, the shimmer is very subtle and the color is really nice. In the packaging, it looks like a highlighter, swatches as an eyeshadow, but it’s such a lovely product. I would buy the full size of it. I haven’t tried anything like it before and if you are looking for a shimmery bronzer, I definitely recommend it.
I’m happy that I got this palette instead of a single full sized illuminator. I know that I would have picked a highlighter and I didn’t liked them. At least the palette is beautiful.
