I took the photos for this post last summer. These lipsticks were an impulse purchase. I was mostly attracted by the packaging, which reminds me of the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. I would say the color is pinkier, but I still like it. Rimmel released this collection last year in celebration of their 15 years collaboration with Kate Moss. In Bulgaria we got only four of the shades. The collection consists of nude and red lipsticks, because these are Kate’s favorite shades. We got 2 of the nudes and 2 of the reds. I bought 53 Retro Red and 56 Boho Nude. I have no idea if this is a limited edition collection, all I know is that it’s still available in stores and that they still have it on Rimmel’s official site.
The formulation is the Lasting Finish by Kate lipstick’s formulation. These lipsticks smell of cherry bonbons and are quite hydrating. You get 4 g. of product. I used to own one of the dark shades of this range. I didn’t liked the fact that it transfers and moves around. I have the same issue with the darker shade 53 Retro Red. I really like the color, it’s a wine red. It does not feather on me, but I recommend using a lip pencil. Retro Red was a disappointment for me mostly because of the transferring. I just know that I’ll never reach for it before my other lipsticks.
The other shade 56 Boho Nude is a brownish nude, it’s similar, but deeper in tone than Charlotte Tilbury Penelope Pink. This one is a lovely everyday lipstick and I wear it often. The finish of the lipsticks is slightly glossy.
I like the nudes, the reds transfer. Another thing that I don’t particularly like is the strong fake cherry scent. The packaging is beautiful. If you decide to try these, I recommend the nudes.
