I like lipsticks, they are my favourite makeup item. The word parfait is in the name of the new Laura Mercier lippie and it was enough of a reason for me to buy it. This is my first Laura Mercier product. You can't find this brand in Bulgaria, but we can order online.
Laura Mercier lip parfait promises the lip care of a lip balm, the pigmentation of a lipstick and the glossy effect of a lip gloss. The formulation is quite lovely, it melts like butter on the lips and it nourishes them. If you leave it in your car it can melt. I own the shade Raspberry ripple - an everyday pinky shade with a cool undertone. This lipstick is really pigmented and you need just a swipe for an opaque colour. Lip parfait has a glossy finish.
The packaging is stable and I really like it mainly because of the signature on it. You get 3,5 g. of product. Although the lipstick is very pigmented I'll probably use it up quickly because of the buttery formulation. This product is not that unique, MAC Sheen supreme and Inglot slim gel are similar lipsticks. I fancy the Laura Mercier one the most of the three.
The main problem with this lipstick is that it does not last very long on the lips. On me it lasts around 3 hours, after you eat or drink it's all gone. Even the light shade that I own feathers a little bit. Laura Mercier advice on using this product with a lip liner. I suspect that the brighter and darker shades feather. The lipstick has a slight sweet scent to it, I personally like it. The formulation is very hydrating and it protects the lips.
I have dry lips so I like products like this one. The shade Raspberry ripple is a lovely everyday colour. If you are after a long-lasting lipstick, this one is not for you. Rimmel the only 1 lipstick is also a similar product (review here).
